Minecraft Ring is the closest thing you can actually run to the viral Minecraft in Elden Ring clip. Real Minecraft Java Edition runs alongside Elden Ring; you explore with Minecraft’s controls, build in the Lands Between and fight Elden Ring’s enemies with Minecraft weapons.
What works
- Walk, sprint, jump, crouch and fly with Minecraft controls, in first or third person.
- Place and break Minecraft blocks. Elden Ring’s own ground is represented by invisible collision blocks and cannot be mined.
- Elden Ring enemies get Minecraft hitboxes. Melee, arrows and explosions damage them; their attacks hurt you in survival mode.
- Doors, levers, items and Sites of Grace work with R. Lifts and moving platforms are supported.
- F8 hands control back to Elden Ring for its menus and normal play.
What you need
- Windows x64 and a PC that can run both games.
- Elden Ring App Ver. 1.17.1. Other builds are unverified.
- Minecraft: Java Edition 1.21.1.
- Build tools: Python 3, LLVM-MinGW, JDK 25 and Gradle 9.7.1.
Setup reality check
There is no packaged installer yet; you clone the source and build the native DLLs yourself following the project’s setup guide. It only runs offline: the loader refuses to activate while Easy Anti-Cheat is present. The creator calls it an experimental port with rough edges around terrain, transitions and rendering.
