PipeLink bundles two mashups into San Andreas behind one installer. Press F6 and CJ skates with the Skate 3 engine; press F5 for a Modern Warfare 2 mode with its weapons, scoreboard and killstreaks. It is the easiest way to try the Skate 3 and MW2 rewrites inside GTA.
What the launcher does for you
- Finds GTA San Andreas through Steam and converts the current Steam version to 1.0 US, which the mods need.
- Adds an ASI loader if your game doesn’t have one.
- Downloads the free Skate 3 Rust engine, then builds the skate map and board from your own GTA and Skate 3 files.
- Installs IW4L, the open MW2 runtime, which reads your MW2 files without changing them.
- Puts every changed file back when you click Uninstall.
How it works
The skating side is the same engine transplant as Skate 3 in GTA San Andreas: the open-source Skate 3 engine running against San Andreas’ collision. The MW2 side runs on IW4L, the Rust rewrite behind the original MW2 × Skate 3 × Minecraft mashup.
What you need
- GTA San Andreas. Only the base game is required.
- Optional: your own Xbox 360 Skate 3 disc image for skating, and your own MW2 Multiplayer folder for MW2 mode.
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit, and an internet connection for the first setup (the Steam conversion downloads about 840 MB of patches).
Install in short
Download the release zip, unzip the whole folder, open PipeLinkLauncher.exe, follow its three steps until they show a green tick, then press Install and Play. A controller is recommended for skating.
