Unlike Minecraft in GTA 5, this one doesn’t run Minecraft at all. It rebuilds Minecraft’s creative mode inside GTA V itself: the hotbar, the creative inventory and over 630 blocks, all as real GTA objects with GTA’s lighting, shadows and collision.
What you get
- Building with every wood, stone, ore and colour variant, plus stairs, slabs, doors, beds and chests that work like they do in Minecraft. Your builds are saved.
- TNT that chain-reacts and damages cars, ender pearls that teleport you across Los Santos, and a diamond sword that ragdolls people.
- Mobs that fight GTA’s pedestrians: zombies, skeletons, creepers and endermen, with iron golems on your side. The police shoot at them.
- The Wither, built from soul sand and skulls, raining exploding skulls on the city.
- Elytra flight and firework rockets with Minecraft’s own flight physics.
How it works
Every Minecraft system here was re-created inside GTA V’s scripting, using textures and sounds built on your PC from Minecraft’s own files. That is a mechanics port. The creator describes it, plainly, as vibe-coded.
What you need
- GTA V Legacy, story mode only. GTA V Enhanced is not supported.
- ScriptHookV for your game version, and OpenIV with OpenIV.asi installed.
- An internet connection on first launch, unless Minecraft Java 1.21.11 is already installed.
Install in short
Install ScriptHookV and OpenIV.asi, download the .oiv package from the official releases, and install it with OpenIV’s Package Installer into the mods folder. Load story mode; the first launch builds the block pack for a few seconds.
Never use it in GTA Online. The mod switches itself off if an online session starts, and the creator recommends launching with BattlEye disabled.
