A modified build of the Minecraft–GTA V passthrough from universal-modder, rebuilt around one monster: Cracker’s Wither Storm. The storm runs inside Minecraft and is drawn into GTA V, and the bridge makes Los Santos react.
What it does
- The real Wither Storm grows, fires tractor beams and consumes things, all simulated by Minecraft.
- Nearby GTA pedestrians and cars get invisible Minecraft stand-ins. When the storm grabs one, its GTA counterpart is lifted into the air; when consumed, it disappears from GTA.
- Fireballs and skulls cause GTA explosions, with storm weather, lightning and fleeing crowds.
- GTA’s buildings and roads stay intact. It does not carve craters into the map.
What you need
- GTA V Legacy in Story Mode with BattlEye disabled. GTA V Enhanced is not supported, and ScriptHookV does not work in GTA Online.
- Minecraft: Java Edition 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.10 and JDK 17, in a dedicated launcher instance.
- Cracker’s Wither Storm Mod 4.2.1, downloaded separately from CurseForge.
- ScriptHookV and ReShade 6.8.0 with add-on support.
- Visual Studio 2022 build tools and WSL to compile and install.
Playing
Start the Forge instance and let it load its world, then start GTA V Story Mode. In GTA, F9 summons a storm, Shift+F9 summons an already-grown one, F10 advances its phase and F11 removes it.
Setup reality check
This is a source-only project with a long build guide. Expect an evening of setup, not a double-click.
