ValCraft lets you play Valheim’s world as a Minecraft player: Minecraft’s movement, inventory, hand, blocks, combat and chat inside Valheim’s terrain, lighting, weather, creatures and dungeons. Minecraft’s monsters and iron golems even hunt Valheim’s creatures.
How it works
Both games run at once and talk through shared memory. Minecraft simulates the player; a BepInEx plugin in Valheim sends it the collision around you, moves your Valheim character to match, and draws Minecraft’s blocks and HUD in Valheim’s frame. The Minecraft half is a fork of SkyCraft’s mod. A live bridge.
What you need
- Valheim on Steam.
- A Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition.
- About 3 GB of free RAM for Minecraft on top of Valheim.
Install in short
Import the release zip into a Gale profile, or run the optional guided installer, which also works with r2modman and the Thunderstore Mod Manager. Launch from your mod manager. The first time, a small launcher asks you to sign in while Minecraft downloads; after that it starts and stops with Valheim on its own.
Controls worth knowing
G uses Valheim’s doors, chests, portals and beds. F7 hands control back to Valheim, and F8 turns Valheim’s ground into real Minecraft blocks. Multiplayer works in the same Valheim world, but the creator marks it experimental.
