FalloutCraft brings SkyCraft’s idea to the Commonwealth. Walk through Sanctuary with Minecraft’s physics, build a base out of blocks on top of Red Rocket, and fight raiders and mole rats with a diamond sword, a bow and a shield, while Diamond City Radio plays on your Pip-Boy.
Highlights
- Your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. shapes Steve. Strength raises melee damage, Perception your reach, Agility your speed and attack rate.
- Shared health. Fallout’s damage goes to Minecraft’s hearts; Minecraft’s armour and shield reduce it. Die in Minecraft and you die in Fallout.
- Modded Minecraft. The NeoForge 1.21.1 build lets you bring other Minecraft mods (weapons, vehicles, furniture) into the wasteland.
How it works
Neither game is rewritten. An F4SE plugin in Fallout 4 and a Minecraft mod talk through shared memory; Minecraft runs hidden and Fallout draws everything. It is built on SkyCraft and works the same way: a live bridge.
What you need
- Fallout 4 on Steam with the current runtime (developed on 1.11.240).
- Fallout 4 Script Extender (F4SE) and Address Library for F4SE Plugins.
- A Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition, plus JDK 25 and Git to run the Minecraft side.
- About 3 GB of spare RAM.
Setup reality check
There is a quick install from the official releases for the Fallout side, but the Minecraft side runs from the repository with developer tools, so we rate setup as hard. Play from a save made after you leave Vault 111: the scripted opening may not work while Minecraft drives the player.
